PRESS RELEASE BY INTERNATIONAL COALITION AGAINST CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE IN NIGERIA (ICAC-GEN) ON THE 2023 PRESIDENTIAL AND GOVERNORSHIP ELECTIONS

PRESS RELEASE

FEARLESSLY VOTE LABOUR PARTY ALL THE WAY IN THE COMING MARCH 11, 2023 GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN ALL THE SOUTHERN AND MIDDLE BELT AND BORNO STATES

The International Coalition against Christian Genocide in Nigeria (ICAC-GEN) following  an Emergency General Meeting held on 3rd March, 2023, consequently adopted the following resolutions on the just concluded Presidential election held on 25 February, 2023, and the coming March 11, 2023 Governorship Election:

  1. We wish to congratulate the Nigerian masses for proving through their votes that power belongs to the people; even though their efforts appear to be temporarily thwarted by the enemies of democracy. We therefore urge them to remain firm, committed and strong spirited, for no real freedom comes without great deal of sacrifices.

  1. Having listened to the position adopted by His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in respect of the last kangaroo Presidential election of February 25, 2023, which was roundly condemned by the various foreign observer missions, particularly the European Union and United States of America, we are fully convinced that the Nigerian masses are on a righteous cause. We believe that if Nigeria is a civilized country the like of Prof Mamood Yakubu should have honorably resigned his office. But this is Nigeria, a country where criminality and impunity against the law are celebrated as political virtues. However, we implore all the patriotic citizens to remain calm and alert for the next round of the revolution.

  1. Bearing in mind that the coming Governorship and House of Assembly Elections directly affects the people, we call on all the citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly supporters of Labour Party to come out en masse on Saturday March 11, 223 and vote for their respective Labour Party Governorship candidates.

  1. We are particularly disturbed that a number of people mainly from APC and PDP have been harping on alliance or memorandum of understanding with Labour Party for the coming Governorship election and wish to state unequivocally that the issue of alliance or memorandum of understanding between the Labour Party and any other Political Party, particularly in Lagos, Delta, Rivers States and indeed in all the States of the Federation with official Labour Party Governorship candidates, is not official from the Labour Party leadership; and even if the Labour Party leadership decides to do so, it will be unacceptable to the electorates and subsequently rejected at polls, because the battle is not that of the Labour Party leadership but the masses. If the Labour Party members in the States without Labour Party Governorship candidates wish to ally with any of the two Devils; that is understandable given the chequered circumstances of their political terrains.

  1. Arising from (2) above, we wish to reassert that any alliance or memorandum of understanding undertaken by any Labour Party State Executive in the States with Governorship candidates should be discountenanced and rejected in its totality as a political scam.

  1. We particularly wish to state that the Lagos State Labour Party Governorship candidate is Gbadebo Patrick Rhodes-Vivour and there is no compromise here. We wish to further state that just as Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu could not stop EndSARS popular uprising, no threat or intimidation will stop the people of Lagos State from voting en masse for him. This is a battle for the original indigenes of Lagos State—the Awori, Eko, Egun, and Ijebu of Epe and Ikorodu; and not adopted indigenes of Lagos State who use their inveterate hatred and attack on other non-indigenes of the State to cover up their illegitimate identity.

  1. We also particularly wish to advise all the people of Rivers State that there is no alliance or memorandum of understanding between the Labour Party and any other political party whether APC or PDP. The authentic Labour Party Governorship candidate is Beatrice Itubo. Any announcement to the contrary is a political scam and should be rejected in its entirety. It takes an Amazon of Beatrice Itubo’s caliber to floor the stooge of the impudent political Goliath called Nyesom Wike.

  1. We were informed that some elements of PDP and APC are making attempts to blackmail her as Rotimi Amaechi’s stooge. The question is who is the least evil of the three candidates— the APC candidate who is an institutionalized Fulani agent; the PDP candidate who is more or less a political slave to Nyesom Wike; or the Labour Party candidate who is accused with unproven evidence of being a stooge to a political lame-duck called Rotimi Amaechi? After all every woman is destined by accident of divine creation to be a stooge to a man. Let the people of Rivers State decide.

  1. We wish also to correct the impression that there is an alliance or memorandum of understanding between the Labour Party in Delta State and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Such a statement or rumor is false and unfounded and thus should be discountenanced. The Labour Party Governorship candidate for Delta State is Deacon Ken Pela and he only the people will vote for. Light and darkness can never meet. Labour Party is light unto Delta State and PDP is the umbrella of darkness covering Delta State; while APC is the heart of darkness enveloping the entire Nigerian nation.

  1. Beyond the three flash-point States of Lagos, Rivers and Delta, all the Obidients and supporters of Labour Party are strongly implored to vote the following Governorship candidates in their respective States:

  • Alex Oti—Abia State
  • Uduak Udoh—Akwa Ibom
  • Herman Hembe—Benue
  • Ibrahim Mshelia—Borno
  • Olga Osim—Cross River
  • Deacon Ken Pela—Delta
  • Chijioke Edeoga—Enugu
  • Keftin Amuga—Gombe
  • Jonathan Asake—Kaduna
  • Gbadebo Patrick Rhodes-Vivour—Lagos
  • Kehinde Segun—Ogun
  • Joseph Ewuga—Nasarawa
  • Patrick Sunday Dakum—Plateau
  • Beatrice Itubo—Rivers
  • Joel Danlami Ikenya—Taraba

  1. Considering the fact that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) can no longer be trusted by Nigerian citizens as an unbiased electoral umpire, we hereby call on all the Nigerian electorates to supervise the elections themselves by forcing all the INEC officials to comply with extant laws within the ambit of laid down electoral regulations, failing which the electorates are at liberty to exercise instant jungle justice on them. If it takes injustice to end injustice, so be it.

Signed

Nwankwo T. Nwaezeigwe, PhD, DD

President
