PETER OBI’S KNEELING OR STANDING FOR BOLA TINUBU IN ROME, DINNING WITH ATIKU IN YOLA AND WINING WITH EL-RUFAI IN KADUNA—STILL HIS REQUIEM APROPOS

I have often told my readers that the academic discipline called “History” is not an entertainment subject. It is not like Music, Theater Arts and Literature which are fundamentally concerned with the creation of environmental happiness. History is a combatant subject that creates celebration for the fortunate and sadness for the unfortunate. So it does not matter to me what multitudes of people think of my opinions; after all, the Bible tells us that wide is the road that leads to eternal destruction while narrow is the road that leads to eternal life.
I have gone through the multiple responses to my last article and I am compelled to write this as a follow-up to further advance my position on Peter Obi’s political requiem in Nigerian politics of today. Hanging only on the subject matter of photo-shopping without looking at the crux of the contents is not only defeatist in mentality but a negated presumptuousness that defines people with sequestered political mentality.
As a historian writing on any subject matter of history, illustration in any form conveys three logical senses in meaning—the physical, the abstract, and the spiritual. These three logical senses can only be explained contextually in the course of analysis. So it does not matter to me if the photo of Peter Obi kneeling before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Rome is photo-shopped or not; and it is not the duty of the historian to engage in forensic analysis of any photo that conveys real human beings.
The content analysis of the paper clearly illustrates Peter Obi kneeling before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu if not in physical form but in abstract terms, which can only be interpreted contextually beyond the intellectual capabilities of the horde of limbless Obidient sheep, whose stock ‘n trade are abuses and insults to anyone who dares to put Peter Obi in order.
The first logical reason why Peter Obi might have knelt before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Rome was the information that after Peter Obi was bounced by the Vatican security from entering through the VIP entrance even with the concerted effort of his kinsman Cardinal Francis Arinze, Mrs. Bianca Onoh approached President Tinubu who consequently sent his aids to ensure Peter Obi’s entrance through the VIP entrance.
It was indeed after Obi’s entrance that he moved straight to Tinubu and knelt down in appreciation. This further explained why Peter Obi was privileged to seat a short distance behind him. The standing exchange of pleasantries being touted as the only meeting between Peter Obi and President Bola Tinubu only took place after the inauguration; otherwise where is the video or picture showing how Peter Obi eventually entered the VIP Hall after Cardinal Arinze’s failed attempt.
In resolving any such claim of photo-shopping as the case of Peter Obi kneeling before President Tinubu, three photos are required to prove the fact. The first is Peter Obi’s photo kneeling down in the same format for another person; while the second is the photo of President Tinubu bending his head to exchange pleasantries with another person. The third picture will then represent the photo-shopped picture. This fact has not yet been proved in this manner. So I still maintain that Peter Obi knelt before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Rome until proven otherwise through this established logical format.
The second logical reason why Peter Obi might have knelt before President Tinubu is the claim that beyond the inauguration, the second reason for Peter Obi’s presence in the Vatican was to have the opportunity to personally meet President Tinubu over the Supreme Court Judgment against his bank—Fidelity Bank for ₦224.5 billion debt which might lead to bankruptcy. Thus even though Peter Obi might deny this fact but he cannot deny the Supreme Court judgment against Fidelity Bank.
It was indeed for the above reasons that Peter Obi decided to soft-pedal in his direct opposition against President Tinubu when he stated ipso facto after returning from Vatican City:
“I and the president are not fighting. I’m not fighting anybody. My fight is against bad governance, against hunger, against poverty, against out-of-school children, against people not having health services.”
By the above statement, is Peter Obi telling Nigerians that those people cursing and opposing President Tinubu for imposing economic hardship and encouraging insecurity of lives and property at the highest level in Nigeria are fools? Is he telling such a person as Prof Pat Utomi that he is a fool for declaring outright opposition against President Bola Tinubu? What is the difference between the poison that killed a child and the person that gave the poison to the child?
The above questions are directed to those who call themselves Obidients without both a sense of history and political vision. Being obedient is not about cowardly noise-making, limbless parade of clay-footed solidarity and, insane display of slavish political mentality. Talking of true and dedicated Obidients, I stand out as one uncontested champion in the last General election without any form of financial inducement.
More than those who stupidly profess Obidient mentality without political direction, I churned out more than fifty pro-Peter Obi articles without any financial support from anyone. I created unimaginable enmity for myself for supporting Peter Obi in the manner no other Igbo man or Nigerian did.
When Asari Dokubo came reeling against Peter Obi, no member of the so-called Obidient Movement, not even those currently opening their stinking mouths to curse and abuse in the name of Peter Obi, or anybody from the Southeast geopolitical zone could contend with him. I took it upon myself to challenge him. Today I am Asari Dokubo’s enemy because of Peter Obi. Did I do so because I wanted Peter Obi to pay me? Or did he pay me?
I vilified Justice Mary Odili, Justice Okoro, the entire Justices of the Presidential Election Appeal Court and the entire legal team of President Tinubu; all in the name of Peter Obi’s Presidential ambition. I am not talking of President Tinubu and his wife, including Bayo Onanuga and other aids. I sent all my publications to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Justice Okoro of the Supreme Court.
Both Justices Kekere-Ekun the current Chief Justice and Justice Okoro blocked me after the Supreme Court judgment but the former Chief Justice continues to read my posts till date. Indeed part of my analysis of the Presidential Election Petition Appeal Court Judgment relating to INEC Rules and Regulations was what Justice Okoro applied in his lead Judgment. Did Peter Obi consider making moves to block this loop-hole in the INEC Rules and Regulations Justice Okoro used to deliver his lead judgment? This is supposed to be how a leader with political wisdom should act. But Peter Obi is no such wise.
In pursuit of justice for Peter Obi’s 2023 Presidential election contest I created more enemies for myself than Peter Obi created for himself, if indeed he actually created any enemy; because even from the analysis of the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Appeal Court it was evident that both Peter Obi and his legal team sold out before the case even proceeded.
Was it not ridiculous that in such a serious matter as Presidential election petition that both Peter Obi and his team of Senior Advocates of Nigeria were not aware of the fundamental court rules on deadline for filing documents? We saw how the greater part of the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Appeal Court was based on the deliberate inability of Peter Obi and his legal team to file the necessary court documents within the allotted time. Was this not self-sabotage on the part of Peter Obi and his legal team?
How can OBIDIENT COWARDS who were even afraid to engage in any form of shouting match or peaceful protest against the rigging of a Presidential election their master clearly won be abusing me for expressing what I consider as the truth? People who could not deliver their States for OBIDIENT LABOUR PARTY in Governorship and Local Government Council elections should not be opening their stinking mouths shouting they are Obidient. Is it OBIDIENT without grassroots structure or OBIDIENT whose members of the National Assembly are decamping to APC?
As far as the leadership of the Nigerian nation is concerned, Peter Obi lacks the required principle and ideological direction to be a good and effective President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Indeed if by accident he is entrusted with such responsibility he would be worse than Aguiyi-Ironsi in the matter of calculated political naivety.
The kind of President Nigeria needs now is one with the level of President Olusegun Obasanjo’s principle or more; not Peter Obi’s type who would do anything to please those killing his Christian kinsmen. Nigerians need a leader who can chest out and tell both the Sokoto Caliphate and the Islamist Government of Tinubu and Shettima that enough of the killing of defenseless Christians, kidnapping and, banditry in Nigeria. Nigeria needs a leader who can fearlessly give killer-kidnapper-Fulani herdsmen and bandits unequivocal ultimatum to stop their heinous crimes against humanity in Nigeria. Peter Obi has no liver to take such drastic actions.
A professed Christian who cannot voice out against the on-going Fulani jihad and kidnappings against Nigerian Christians cannot represent Christian interests and grant them the much needed protection if placed in a position of authority as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is Peter Obi for sure.
Peter Obi is a sworn Muslim Fulani stooge masquerading as a pious Roman Catholic only for political reasons. He donates billions of naira for the establishment of Almajiri Quranic Schools in the North, while the same Almajiris continue to rampage his Igboland as kidnappers and bandits. It is on record that Peter Obi once granted a large expanse of land at his Agulu hometown to Sokoto Caliphate for the establishment of an Islamic Centre. When the project was exposed, I personally reported the matter to Okwadike Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife of blessed memory, who quickly confronted Peter Obi warning that such project was inadmissible in Igboland.
As far as revered Igbo ancestors are concerned, any Igbo politician who invests in any manner in the development of those who consider themselves their eternal enemies, will always meet their political waterloo at the appointed time.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu invested and ended up crying like a baby. President he did not get. Vice President he did not get; and Senate President he did not get. Owelle Rochas Okorocha invested even more than both Peter Obi and Orji Uzor Kalu invested combined, but his point of political oblivion was greeted with EFCC invasion just a short moment before APC Presidential Primaries. And Peter Obi thinks his own experience will be different?
Today the same Peter Obi has secretly formed a coalition with the two prominent patrons of Fulani bandits and Boko Haram in Nigeria—Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Malam Nasir el-Rufai. Those ignoble Obidients who were cursing and abusing me for my last article did not consider this alliance as the ignoble marriage between the Children of Israel and Philistines so long as the journey to such political purgatory is initiated by their political tin-god Peter Obi.
It was in attempt to wriggle out of this unholy alliance and in consonant with his secret agreement with President Tinubu in Vatican City, that Peter Obi lately declared that he would not take the position of Vice Presidential candidate under Atiku Abubakar, hence his latest statement that he would contest the Presidency under Labour Party. The question here is which Labour Party—the already dead or the yet to be resurrected from the dead?
The truth of the matter is that under the Atiku-Obi-el-Rufai political alliance signed on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the three political gladiators will take over the little known African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform for the 2027 Presidential election. That was the current position before President Tinubu threatened Peter Obi over the Fidelity Bank ₦224.5 billion debt which the Supreme Court has given order for its payment, or the declaration of the bank’s bankruptcy.
So those spineless Obidients shouting, “Peter Obi is our leader and Presidential candidate come 2027”, are only reeling in ignominious ignorance of the true situation. Peter obi’s political spinal cord has been broken through the debtor-strings of his Fidelity Bank. This is what will happen to any Christian politician or Church leader who prioritizes his personal ambition against the blood of innocent Christian Nigerians being spilled on the altar of heinous Muslim Fulani jihad.
The only prayer a true Christian who feels oppressed and threatened under the present political climate in Nigeria should pray, is that the year 2027 shall never come as a General Election Year.
