For any Christian to compete or contend with any Muslim for anything or for any reason, he must understand that Islam is a religion of interplay of truth and deception. Both truth and deception are doctrinal tenets of Islam stated in both Quran and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad.
I need not go into the details of these scriptural injunctions in Islam safe as they concern the recent second and fake burial of Muhammadu Buhari, which is considered haram (sin) in Islam but concealed under the scriptural tenet of deception in Islam known as Taqiyya.
Taking as an instance the case of my hometown Ibusa, one important element of Ibusa native laws and customs is that there are certain crimes one commits that await judgment immediately after his death. There are some villages where any man known to have stolen anything is not accorded befitting traditional burial. The Church has no authority over this matter because as far as Ibusa native laws and customs are concerned, Christian participation in funerals are only social activities preparatory to actual traditional funeral rites.
But there are crimes which consequences after death go beyond non-accordance of traditional burial rites. Any man who has conjugal affair with a widow still undergoing the traditional mourning rites of her late husband or, nwanyi Isi-mmo (a woman of Isi-mmo ritual marriage), which included the senior wife of an Nze title holder (Anasi-Eze), is considered to have committed an unpardonable adulterous crime. Equally guilty of similar abomination is a woman (Nwanyi no na ntu) who died during the period of the traditional mourning rites of her husband.
In all these circumstances, the guilty person is not only denied traditional burial rites but also denied internment within the town. Such a person is carried without the benefit of coffin accompanied with all his or her personal belongings and buried in the bush outside the town.
A recent example was a prominent leader of Aladura (Cherubim and Seraphim Church) from Fred Ajudua’s Village, who used the advantage of his spiritual position and handsome physique to commit this crime of ritual adultery.
This man was tall and huge in size with golden light complexion. Whenever he stepped out clad in his splendid flowing Cherubim and Seraphim gown, his appearance gave the impression of the flowing aura of Angel Gabriel.
So when the man died, his Church took over all the funeral activities in a carnival fashion with a tornado of pump and pageantry that shook the town. At the end of the funeral events which ended with his internment in his compound, everyone left leaving his immediate family.
At mid-night of the same day, some able-bodied men of his Village arrived at his compound, dug up his grave and removed his body from the coffin. His children were ordered to bring out all his personal belongings. Both his body and personal belongings were carted away to the bush at the outskirts of the town and buried.
This was indeed what took place in Daura on July 14, 2025 in the name of the Islamic funeral rites of President Muhammadu Buhari, who died since 2017 but was purported to have died on July 13, 2025. Every action that took place from 13 to 14 July, 2025 ended in July 14, 2025 midnight when the body of an unknown Muhammadu Buhari purported to be that of real Muhammadu Buhari was exhumed and discarded to unknown location.
Under Islamic law popularly known as Shariah, the action of any Muslim is guided by any of the following five principles: prohibited, discouraged, permissible, endorsed, or obligatory.
The funeral rite of clothing or shrouding a dead Muslim for burial known as “Kafan” is clearly stated as obligatory and not either permissible or endorsed. In other words, it is a compulsory act in Islamic law and tradition because it originated from the prophetic declarations of Prophet Muhammad defined as Hadith. Indeed kafan follows immediately after the funeral rite of washing the body known as “ghusl.”
The funeral rite of kafan in Islam is defined by the use of a simple white cloth to rap the dead body of a Muslim for burial and, indeed before being presented to the public for final prayers. In other words, the body of a dead Muslim must be shrouded in kafan as a sign of purity for the same reason a Muslim appears before the Holy Kaaba during Hajj and Umrah.
According to Prophet Muhammad as recorded by Abū Dā’ūd Sulaymān ibn al-Ash’ath ibn Isḥāq al-Azdī al-Sijistānī in his Sunan Abū Dā’ūd, Muslims shall: “Wear white clothes, for they are the best of your clothes, and shroud your dead in them.”
According to Aisha bint Abu Bakar, Prophet Muhammad’s third and favorite wife, after whom Aisha Buhari was named, as stated in the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad narrated by Al-Bukhari, after whose name Muhammadu Buhari was named, Prophet Muhammad was shrouded with three pieces of white cloth after his death. So shrouding (wrapping) the body of a dead Muslim in white is not an optional but, an obligatory act in Islamic law and tradition.
Those who saw the burial pictures of the original Muhammadu Buhari in Mecca in 2017 saw that he was shrouded in kafan. So, in Islam the process of preparing the body for burial is not just a religious obligation but a profound spiritual matter obligatory to every Muslim.
The question then is why did the Emir of Daura Alhaji, Umar Faruk dan Umar allowed Muhammadu Buhari to be shrouded in green piece of cloth instead of the accepted Kafa for Islamic burial, if truly the body was that of Muhammadu Buhari? This is the crux of the tragedy of hurried application of Taqiyya (doctrine of deception) in Islam.
The truth of the matter is that Muhammadu Buhari died in 2017 in a London Hospital and was hurried buried in Saudi Arabia and, Alhaji Umar Faruk dan Umar, the Emir of Daura is aware of this fact. So when he was hurriedly approached by the Governor of Katsina State that the Federal Government wanted to announce the death of Muhammadu Buhari and organize his formal official burial in Daura, the Emir asked if they were going to dig up the body buried in Saudi Arabia long ago. The Governor however told him that another body will be used in place of his body.
It was at that point that the Emir said, if that was the case, then the body will not be accorded the normal Islamic burial rites especially washing (Ghusl) and being shrouded in kafan, which are sacred in Islamic burial rites and would amount to serious haram on his part if he permits such. The Governor as a Muslim was obliged to accept the Emir’s view.
He thereafter communicated the Emir’s position to President Bola Tinubu and suggested the use of Nigerian National flag as the alternative kafan. President Tinubu however rejected outright the use of Nigeria’s national flag as kafan, saying that displaying the body in Nigeria’s national was enough national honor to the body, but burying it with Nigeria’s national flag was unacceptable for something we all knew was not Muhammadu Buhari.
That was how the idea of shrouding the fake body with green piece of cloth, which is outright haram in Islamic burial tradition, emerged. And the reason for using green which is not kafan is to deceive those who are not conversant with Islamic law concerning burial rites but are aware the green is a popular Islamic revolutionary color.
But in real sense, burying a devout Muslim with green piece of cloth is considered unclean since it amounts to appearing before Allah in judgment with blood-stained cloths. Green cloths can only be won in Islamic paradise on the instruction of Allah after judgment, and not on the impulse of men as burial cloth.
Unfortunately, those who planned and executed this act of deception founded on haram were not intelligent enough to adequately match the length of the fake body with the approximate height of Muhammadu Buhari. Considering the fact that the body might have shrunken in size given the long period of protracted illness, but the height of a dead man remains approximately constant. Looking at the fake body displayed as the body of Muhammadu Buhari, it was obvious that it was evidently shorter to a great degree in length than the towering height of Muhammadu Buhari. Indeed the length of the body can only be considered in terms of the height of such persons as Generals Sani Abacha and Ibrahim Babangida.
It should be recalled that on August 13, 2024, the fake Muhammadu Buhari attended the Council of State meeting in Aso Villa, Abuja, in his often remarkable robust carriage, in contrast to the shrunken lanky Muhammadu Buhari. In May 2025, the same fake Buhari commended Bola Tinubu for his two-year in office. The same man has since relocated to Niamey the Capital City of his home country, Niger Republic after handing over the Bola Tinubu, visiting Nigeria only on arranged occasions when some notable people wanted to pay him courtesy visit. So when did he fall sick to the point of lying unconscious on a hospital bed?
Again, the question is could that same man who attended the Council of State meeting in August last year have shrunken to that miserable size within eleven months, if we assume that the displayed body was his? The attached combined photo displaying respectively the late Muhammadu Buhari in his authentic tall frame and, shrunken face with his bald head on a sick bed, the youthful face of the impostor from Niger Republic and, the shrouded fake body in green, will clearly authenticate the veracity of the fact that the body displayed on July 14, 2025 was not that of Muhammadu Buhari.
The whole problem started when President Julius Maada Bio took over from Bola Tinubu as Chairman of ECOWAS and subsequently declared war against all military juntas in West Africa. That action by President Bio created renewed conflict between Niger Republic and Nigeria, after the Military Head of State of Niger Republic summoned the fake Muhammadu Buhari and threatened to arrest him and seize all his acquired assets from Nigeria if he does not advise Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu to caution President Bio and distance himself from the threat.
What the fake Buhari did instead was to inform Bola Tinubu that he was tired of the constant threat by his Head of State and thus requested to be disentangled finally from Nigerian politics. And to do such Muhammadu Buhari has to be formally declared dead and accordingly buried in Nigeria in fake funeral ceremony. That was how they hurriedly planned the falsification of the death of Muhammadu Buhari on July 13, 2025.
To be continued.
